Angelina’s Day Care Nursery provides Government-funded early education in line with the Statutory Framework2025, the Department for Education Early Education and Childcare Statutory Guidance (April 2025), and Essex County Council funding requirements.
Opening Hours and Term Information
Angelina’s Day Care Nursery is open Monday to Friday from
8:00am to 6:00pm and operates for 48 weeks of the year, excluding Bank
Holidays. The nursery is closed during the Christmas and New Year period. The
setting operates all year round and offers both half-day and full-day sessions
to meet the needs of families.
Registration and Deposit
No registration fee is required to access a funded early
education place at Angelina’s Day Care Nursery. Where applicable, a fully
refundable deposit of £50.00 may be requested to secure a childcare place. This
deposit is not a condition of accessing funded entitlement hours and is
refunded within a reasonable period after the child takes up their place. A
deposit may only be retained where a place is not taken up without sufficient
notice, in line with agreed contractual terms.
No non-refundable deposits, mandatory fees or top-up charges
are applied in relation to funded early education.
Funded Early Education Entitlement
Funded early education entitlement hours are provided at no charge to parents under the Government-funded entitlement, with no mandatory charges or conditions attached.
We offer 15 hours of funded childcare for eligible children and up to 30 hours for eligible working parents. Funded hours are available during normal opening hours and can be taken in continuous blocks, either term-time or stretched across the year, subject to availability.
Any childcare taken outside the funded entitlement is charged at the private rates shown below.

Voluntary Chargeable Extras
Food charges are optional. Parents may provide their own food if they prefer.
Consumables are provided by parents and no consumables charge applies.
Optional charges are not a condition of accessing funded childcare.
Applying for Funded Childcare
Parents must apply for funded childcare through the appropriate route depending on the type of funding. Working families must apply through HMRC and provide a valid eligibility code before funding can be claimed. Eligibility codes must be reconfirmed regularly as required by HMRC. Funding always begins from the term after a child becomes eligible.

Application Process
To begin your application, please contact our nursery office to request an Admissions Pack, which includes all forms and essential information.

We maintain individual waiting lists for each age group Baby Room, Toddler Room, and Preschool to ensure fair and transparent admissions.
Children are added to the list in order of the date the completed application form and registration are received.
Places are often offered well in advance, especially for our Preschool Room, where offers are typically made up to a year before your child’s expected start date.
We warmly welcome visits from prospective parents and carers who have submitted an application.
